Notable Interviews

Joshua Rosenow, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Director of Functional Neurosurgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago

It was amazing to me not only to learn about Dr. Rosenow’s dedication to and passion for helping people with epilepsy and Parkinson’s, but also to interview patients who had undergone lesion-removal surgery or DBS implantation and hear how it helped them regain control over their bodies and become more self-sufficient in their daily lives.

Kathryn Ko, M.D.
Chief of the Department of Neurosurgery at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York

Dr. Ko's innovation in developing the in situ hinge craniectomy for treating stroke and severe head injury patients was impressive. Also impressive was her innovation in adopting state-of-the-art technology to maintain a virtual office rather than a physical one, and to use a robotically controlled camera to monitor her ICU patients at any time and from anywhere.
